For professionals

For the families who leave your office agreeing to cooperate.

CoCoparent is a shared record of a child’s days, kept by both parents across two homes: each parent logs the days in seconds, both homes share one calendar built from the custody schedule, and at each changeover a summary of those days goes to the other parent automatically, with anything the sending parent wants to add. This page is for the mediator, attorney or therapist deciding whether to put it on a resource sheet. There is nothing to sign and no fee in either direction.

Who it is for, and who it is not for

For

  • Cooperative households: separated or divorced parents who share time and want to share in the children’s days.
  • Children of any age, each with their own record. For the youngest that means meals, naps, potty and medicine; as children grow, families rename and add categories for school, activities and whatever matters at that age.
  • Families who handle everything by text message today, and want to know how the children are doing, and what they need, kept in one place both homes can see.

Not for

  • Families in dispute. There is no messaging, no tone monitoring, no expense ledger and no court features, and we make no claim of admissibility.
  • Anyone who needs a supervised or certified record. OurFamilyWizard and TalkingParents exist for that, and we say so to parents.

A walk through it

These are screens from the app as it ships today, in the order a parent is likely to see them: the first screen, logging a meal, the shared calendar, the summary the other parent receives, photos from both homes, the full log, and the trends view.

A preview family, ready to open

Two children on a 2-2-3 schedule, six weeks of example days already logged, and summaries already sent. Write to us and we will send you a login for it. It is shared with other professionals and reset regularly, so nothing you do in it is kept, and you should not put anything real in it. Sign in on the web at app.cocoparenthq.com or in the app from either store.

We are happy to connect on the phone, or to schedule a visit to your office if you would like to see the app in person. Write to hello@cocoparenthq.com.

The questions professionals ask

Is it a court record or evidence?

No. There is no message thread, no tone monitoring, no certified export and no timestamp presented as proof. It is a record two parents keep together, and the store listing and the app both say it is for parents who already cooperate.

Could it be subpoenaed?

Anything a parent keeps can be requested in litigation, this included, exactly as their text messages can. We make no claim that it is privileged or protected, and we would tell a parent that if asked.

Can one parent lock the other out, or rewrite the past?

Both parents are members of one family record and neither can remove the other. A change to the custody pattern takes effect only when both parents agree to it in the app. Leaving removes the person, not the record.

Where is the data, and who can see it?

On Google Cloud in the eastern United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, readable only by the two parents’ accounts under published security rules. No advertising, no sale of data, no third-party analytics or tracking code in the app; the only usage figures we keep are daily counts with no names in them.

Is it a medical record? HIPAA?

No. Parents may note a dose or a doctor’s visit the way they would in a text, but CoCoparent is not a healthcare provider and does not hold medical records. It is a family’s own notes.

How does a family leave?

Settings, Account Removal. It asks for the password, then removes that parent; when the last parent leaves, the family record is deleted, and photos are gone within seven days. Premium families can export everything first: the log as a spreadsheet, the calendar, and the handoff summaries as PDFs.

What does it cost a family?

Free for one child, indefinitely. Premium is $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year for the whole family, one subscription covering both parents. Your code gives a family three months of Premium free; after that it renews unless cancelled, in the App Store or Google Play, never with us. A family that has ever subscribed keeps its full history for good.

What do you get for recommending it?

There is no referral fee and nothing to sign, on purpose. Professionals who recommend CoCoparent are welcome as early feedback partners, telling us what would better serve the families you work with. We learn nothing about which of your clients use it beyond an anonymous count of how many times your code was redeemed.

Who is behind it, and will anyone answer?

A real co-parent. CoCoparent was built by, and is used by, a two-home family, and is run through Common Ground Studio, LLC. Email to hello@cocoparenthq.com is read by a person and answered within a business day. The privacy policy and terms are here on the site.

What if the family’s situation changes?

If it turns high-conflict, this is the wrong tool and we say so: OurFamilyWizard or TalkingParents is the right referral for a court-supervised record. The family exports what it has and leaves.

Give it to a client

Everything you need to pass CoCoparent on is below. The client handout is a half page with a space for your practice’s code, printed two to a sheet. The FAQ puts the questions above on one page, to share with a colleague or keep on file.

Each practice gets its own code. Any family that uses it gets three months of Premium free, and all we see is how many families used it, never who they are.

For a resources page or an intake packet, two sentences you can paste:

CoCoparent is a shared record of a child’s days for separated parents who cooperate: meals, sleep, medicine, one calendar, and a handoff summary at each changeover. Free for one child; ask us for a code for three months of Premium.

Nothing owed

No referral fee, no commission, nothing to sign, no co-branding, and no data about your clients coming back to you. Recommending it costs you nothing and obliges you to nothing, and if it ever stops being right for the families you see, take it off the sheet.
